Global Citizens’ Assembly
The Global Citizens’ Assembly is a bold new step toward a more inclusive, legitimate, and responsive global climate regime. It creates a permanent space for everyday people to deliberate, learn, and contribute directly to global climate decision-making.
Iswe is a founding partner in the Global Citizens’ Assembly initiative, working alongside governments, civil society organisations, researchers, and UN partners to bring this vision to life. We support the development of the Assembly’s global infrastructure, including thousands of local community assemblies that feed into the process—connecting grassroots experience with international policymaking.
This is not just a one-off event. It’s a long-term effort to embed citizen leadership into the heart of the COP process. By COP30, the Assembly aims to help shape global climate ambition, ensure more equitable outcomes, and provide a mandate that reflects the voices of people on the frontlines of climate change.
The Global Citizens’ Assembly is hosted on globalassemblies.org, where you can learn more about the process, partnerships, and how it’s reshaping the future of climate governance.
